Daihatsu improved the 1.5-liter 2NR-FE engine to create the new 2NR-VE engine for its products. Since 2021, the Perodua Myvi and Toyota Rush have been equipped with an idle stop-start mechanism to improve fuel efficiency.

The maximum power generated by the second iteration of the Toyota 2NR-FE is 103 HP at 6,000 RPM and 100 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 RPM.

This engine does not differ much from the base 2NR-FE engine. It is available In Brazil as a flex-fuel engine for the Etios. It can run on gasoline or any combination of gasoline and ethanol, up to 100 percent ethanol.

Its power output is 108 HP at 5,600 RPM and has a max torque of 100 lb-ft at 3,100 RPM.

The new 2NR-FKE engine is the newest variant of Toyota’s popular 2NR-FE, and it has some interesting differences from other models.
