Worlds Fastest Standing Mile Car (283mph)

When the Bugatti Veyron came out, everyone was blown away that a street car could do 260+ miles per hour. But, no one realized that it took it nearly 4 miles of straight road to achieve that record.

Performance Power Racing, has built a machine that embarrass the Veyron. Their 1,700 horsepower Ford GT, named BADD GT, has set the new world record for a standing mile “street” car. They managed to achieve 283mph, verified by Guinness World Records. 280+mph in one mile! The Bugatti Veyron can barely do 260+mph in 4 miles!
